Thermostatic Mixing Valve Testing

It’s evident that we all need access to warm water, but sometimes we can misjudge how hot the water can really be. It only takes water to be above 65 degrees, and your skin exposed for less than a second for you to encounter a serious burn.

Blue Sky Plumbing are qualified and certified to install, test and repair thermostatic mixing valves, which will ensure that the temperature of your water is safe for use.

What is a thermostatic mixing valve?

A thermostatic mixing valve is a device that regulates the flow of hot and cold water, to ensure that the correct temperature of water is released. Scalding is very possible with hot water. While a hot water tank sits at 60 degrees Celsius (to deter legionella bacteria from growing), the thermostatic mixing valve only allows a maximum output of 50 degrees Celsius to avoid any chance of scalding or burning.

Blue Sky Plumbing offers a professional, regulated installation and repair service for thermostatic mixing valves.

If you currently own or rent any of the following property types and you’d like quality service, with long term safety, then Blue Sky Plumbing are here to help.
